Tombak Instructions and Lessons

Holding Position
You may sit in a chair or cross-legged on the floor. If sitting in a chair, and assuming you are right-handed,* the instrument rests on your left thigh and your left foot should be raised slightly higher than your right foot. 
You can use a Guitar foot stool, or rest your heel against the leg of the chair to raise your left foot

This position allows the drum to sit very stably in your lap

Notation for the Tombak is written with musical notes and signs over the notes to indicate the type of stroke.
