Tom:

Tom is the bass stroke, which is played in
the center of the skin with the four fingertips of your right
hand.*
In order to play Tom, Keep
the hand cupped and all four
fingertips together with the thumb by
the side of the index finger
(picture #1, 2).

The heel of the hand is kept by the rim of the drum and
as you strike the Drum you should strive for a deep and
resonating tone. |
